PrimaryWeb is now available in Irish
Native Irish-language support, professionally translated by Snasta
We’re delighted to announce that native Irish-language support is now available across PrimaryWeb, making it easy for schools to provide their website in both English and Irish.
This isn’t an automated translation tool or an add-on. Irish has been integrated directly into the PrimaryWeb platform, with the translation professionally provided by Snasta.
English, Irish, or both
Schools can choose how they want to use PrimaryWeb. Your website can be provided in English, Irish, or bilingually, allowing visitors to switch easily between languages.
The standard elements of the website have already been professionally translated, including navigation, buttons, headings, forms and other interface elements. This means that when a visitor switches to Irish, they’re using a properly translated Irish version of the website rather than relying on automatic machine translation.
For content added by the school — such as news, policies, information pages and other updates — PrimaryWeb provides dedicated English and Irish versions, making bilingual content straightforward to manage from the same dashboard.
Professionally translated by Snasta
We felt it was important that Irish wasn’t simply added as an automated translation layer.
The Irish-language interface for PrimaryWeb was professionally translated by Snasta, helping us ensure that the language used throughout the platform is appropriate, consistent and natural for Irish-speaking schools and communities.
Built into PrimaryWeb
One of the ideas behind PrimaryWeb is that schools shouldn’t have to assemble and configure their own website.
We’ve already taken care of the structure, accessibility, mobile experience and technical setup. Native Irish-language support is now another part of that.
There’s no separate Irish website to maintain, no translation plugin to install and no additional technical setup required.
Particularly useful for Gaelscoileanna
Schools that operate primarily through Irish can use Gaeilge as the main language of their website, rather than treating Irish as a secondary translation of an English website.
For English-medium schools, the same functionality provides a straightforward way to make some or all of their website available in Irish.
And because the functionality is built into PrimaryWeb, there’s no additional charge for Irish-language support.
School websites made simple
PrimaryWeb is built specifically for Irish primary schools. Schools simply add their details and content, and our team takes care of the technical side of getting the website live and keeping it running.
Native Irish-language support is available now on all PrimaryWeb websites.
No setup fee. €19 + VAT per month, including hosting and technical support.
Add your school details and see your new website at PrimaryWeb.ie.
