A smoother, friendlier dashboard: our latest improvements

Simpler uploads, clearer buttons and a fresh new look for school staff

Uploading your enrolment form just got easier

If your school offers a downloadable enrolment application form, you can now upload the file directly on the Enrolment screen.

Previously, the form had to be uploaded somewhere else on the website and then linked from the enrolment page. Now it’s one simple step: pick the file, and it appears automatically as the “Application Form” download button on your public enrolment page.

Replacing the form later, or removing it, is just as straightforward — and the upload accepts PDF and Word documents.

    Tidier screens, fewer clicks

We’ve given several of the dashboard’s screens a tidy-up based on feedback from school staff.

The enrolment details now sit together in a single card instead of being spread across several boxes, and removing an enrolment option asks for confirmation first so nothing disappears by accident.

On the Calendar page, the Calendar Settings button now sits at the very top of the page where you’d expect to find it. And on the News pages, the “New Post” button comes first, with a Back button added above the Categories list so it’s easier to find your way around.

    Clearer buttons throughout

Every button in the dashboard now follows the same simple colour system: orange for adding something new, navy for the main actions, and white buttons with a navy outline for everything else.

This makes it obvious at a glance which button does what — something that’s especially helpful when several staff members share the job of updating the website.

    A fresh new look

The dashboard itself has been refreshed with PrimaryWeb’s brand colours: navy headings and main actions, orange for creating new content, and a clean off-white workspace with white cards.

The layout and everything you’re used to hasn’t changed — it’s simply brighter, clearer and more consistent from one screen to the next.

We’ve also simplified the navigation: News is now a single menu item rather than a fold-out list, and your profile and sign-out button have moved to a small avatar icon at the top right of the screen, so they’re easy to find on any device.

All of these improvements are already live — there’s nothing for your school to do. Simply log in to your dashboard as normal and enjoy the smoother experience.

As always, if anything looks unusual or you’d like to suggest a further improvement, just get in touch.
